Your Grand Adventure

By Adela Rubio

By weaving our opinions, prejudices, strategies, and emotions into a solid reality, we try to make a big deal out of ourselves, out of our pain, out of our problems. But things are not as solid, predictable, or seamless as they seem. Pema Chodron

This is what I would clearly call the ‘personal space.' It's all about me and the focus is on the minutia. The scope is small and limited.

Notice your own experience of yourself. Do you feel that sense of something more, something grander, of which you are a part?

As you notice and invoke this fluid and dynamic sense of YOU it will become more apparent in your physical reality that there is MUCH more to you than meets the naked eye. Actually, what you perceive with your eyes is not even a true reflection of whatever object you are observing. How less so are the ephemeral elements in your world – thoughts, beliefs, opinions, feelings?

Things are always in a state of flux and movement. Why not ride with the possibility of creation and direct the flow and focus in a way that makes you ‘more than' the little stories of personality, problems and pet peeves. How about the grand adventure?

Now there's a story worth living. What's YOUR grand adventure?
