This Stops Your Creative Output

The main thing that stops most of us from taking action is confusion.

Confusion proliferates when things are complicated. It's full of many to-do's, overwhelming technology, beginner skillset/mindset, etc.

Know what does zip you into inspiration and activation? A simple map to reach your creative vision. Not something complex and intricate. Less is more. Less is doable. Less gives you energy, instead of depleting it. It gives you confidence and a can-do embodiment.

How to Bring Your Creative Project to Life

In service of that, I'll share my bare-bones map. I have produced hundreds of creative projects using these steps:

  1. Craft your creative vision. What do you want to create? Put it in writing. Take 10 minutes and write down all the details you have right now. Long-hand writing is best, but use whatever format feels easy: free-flow writing, bullet points, etc.
  2. Map out your pathway. How will you get there? What do you need? Consider what you want to create and the internal shifts and outer steps that will bring you closer to it. Take note of the action steps and attributes (commitment, consistency, etc.) that will support you. Set a timeline for its completion.
  3. Take action on your map. Action helps refine the appropriate steps on your creative project. It gives you feedback, which is where you'll adjust your map. Consistent action leads to the realization of your creative project.
  4. Share it with others. Your colleagues and community can give you wonderful feedback to tweak your offering and help you share it with a more aligned audience.

That's it. There are many ways to do this process with minimal technology and complicated sales platforms. Less is more. You'll implement and get feedback quicker. You get a more solid grasp on your offer, who it serves, and what it delivers.

I have two resources that can support you in crafting your own Creative Project Map. It's what I use when hosting and producing events.
