I'm passionate about my work and it's not something that I have much of a choice about. It was a major point of contention between my husband and I, when we were together. He didn't get what I did and couldn't understand how I was mesmerized by evolutionary coaching and leadership training. On occasion he ventured the opinion that it was cult-like. What he didn't seem to notice was that the compelling energy was coming from ME and not anyone else. It was because I was so immersed in my passion that I aligned with clients, colleagues and opportunities that sought me in partnership.
As the chasm widened between he and I, it was virtually impossible for me to let go of what I knew I had to do. When it came down to it I couldn't choose my relationship at the expense of my work. The relationship changed into something different and my ‘work' continues to be a ‘ raging force' in my life.
Three years later, I can see how the energy of my work has embodied its unique form. It has been the engagement of my passion, that relentless pull, which has evoked and invoked the evolution of my work.
Passion is like that. It has its solitary moments, when you are the one holding the torch, being the voice and speaking the truth which clamors for its recognition in life. It can seem like you are the only one who sees it. You can taste it, you can touch it . . . it's right there. Others will nay-say you, try to convince you you're crazy, off the wall, unrealistic. Few will support you, but it's not their role, really.
The spark is yours to bring to life. It's your responsibility to breathe the essence of your passion into creation. That passion is birthed into being with your energy, your devotion, your unflagging commitment. It's your persistence and insistence that will fan the flame of passion into reality.
Be your passion, whatever stream is accessible to you now. In your living it, you bring it to LIFE!
