Live the Questions

By Adela Rubio

… have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Rainer Maria Rilke

This is one of my FAVORITE quotes of ALL time. When I first came across it, my world turned upside down and inside out. I started noticing the energy and intention of the question was SO much more important than the answer.

As I shifted the underlying energy and became curiously conscious of what was at hand, there was a softening within me and a stream of satiation permeated my very being. The satisfaction was totally poised at the precipice of my longing. There they were, both of them, at the launching point and somehow the answer didn't matter so much.

The questions intrigued me like a skillful and passionate lover, drawing me deeper into the web of curiosity. The questions answered a longing that had immense breadth and depth and soon I experienced that I WAS the longing. So the questions were really another way to experience myself and the answers didn't really matter. I was living the questions, what could be more glorious than that?

A big giggle rippled through my body and the post-orgasmic sensation of satisfied revelry hypnotically saturated my being.

Ahhhhhhh ……….. the questions, so delicious!
