I've been wanting to start another 30-Day Writing Project since September but it's been one thing after another. This time it hasn't been the stuff in my outer world. My inner world, like tectonic plates, has shifted and rearranged itself. I'm finally ready to explore the sparkly bits dancing all around me. How about you?
If you're caught up in world events, or even in the many personal demands of your very real life I get it. It's been that way for me too. However, writing has a way of excising the extraneous bits and creating immense clarity. What if the things that are taking your time are not the essential ones? What if your Essence is clamoring and pointing you in a new direction?
If you wait for things to simmer down it may not happen anytime soon. The world is in an uproar. Your best bet in these chaotic times is to tune into what is yours to be and do. Life has a way of creating interruptions, especially when your heart's desire rises to the surface. There's never a right time, you're the one that makes anything and everything so!
A daily writing practice can create immense growth. Imagine what you can create in 30 days? Nothing short of leaps and bounds.
The focus of our writing during this time will be short writing prompts on topics related to your inner playground. We will explore and question your beliefs and assumptions and create a clearing ground for your creative expression.
Musing is a period of reflection and deep thought, that's your invitation for the next 30 days. Big things can occur with consistent daily practice. That's my intention for you, me, and our circle.
I've hosted and participated in writing circles for the past 14 years. I've had a writing practice since I was a child. One of the things I love about a writing practice is that it is simple and uncomplicated. You only need 3 things:
- You
- Paper
- Pen
If you want to amplify the power of your writing practice, and elicit a plethora of a-ha's and wake up moments, add a fourth element: a circle of writers! I'll host a live writing circle at the end of the event in celebration.
This writing jumpstart is easy peasy to participate in. There'll be a short daily email with a writing prompt to spark your morning musing. You write for 2 minutes or more. That's it. It begins on November 28th and ends on December 27th.
Writing is an act of immense trust. Trust that the page can hold your truth and dreams, fears and secrets, and especially, your deepest longings. Writing is a sacred practice. Circles are a sacred structure. A writing circle can nourish and support your creative fire and breathe Life into it.
