Gratitude is a State of Being

Energy Shifts, Enlightened Gratitude

You don’t need to own anything to feel abundant, although if you feel abundant
consistently things will almost certainly come to you.  Both abundance and scarcity
are inner states that manifest as your reality.
Eckhart Tolle

There are quite a number of gratitude practices, that are easy enough to implement. But sometimes the familiarity of a regular practice can take on an every day vibe that diminishes its effectiveness.

What if, instead of making a list or writing a note, you engaged gratitude as a state of being? You'll know you're ready for this high level adventure, if you've been diligent with your gratitude practice and your energy is still very compromised. It's a lot easier than you think, here's how:

  1. Access Your Inner Being. Stand and bring your attention to your breath. Breathe, relax and expand until you feel at one with infinite spaciousness… inner and outer. There's nothing to do and nowhere to go. Just sink into the sensation of your inner being.
  2. Identify a High Vibe. Bring something into your awareness for which you are profoundly grateful. If you're having trouble, pick something that always puts a smile on your face, whether it's your pet, a song, or a walk on the beach. You can also tap into ascended masters, light beings, Source, or whatever has spiritual significance for you.
  3. Invoke the Feeling of Gratitude. Notice how your body feels, in exquisite detail, especially the physical sensations. You may also notice a shift in your emotions to feelings of  joy, peace, stillness, expansion. These vary, and are unique to you, honor your own feeling, sensing and knowing.
  4. Be Gratitude. Allow the feelings of gratitude to expand and ripple beyond you, filling up everything in time and space, and out of time and space. Become gratitude itself. This might elicit a sense of ‘not you,' that's totally fine. Tune in and see if it's not so much that it's not you, but it's more than you.

Go about your day, moment to moment, being gratitude. When you ‘forget,' invoke the sensation of remembrance. This being  gratitude is not that complicated. Truth is simple. It's a habit to make it complicated. Gratitude is just a state of being.

  1. Adela, Thank you for the gift of today’s adventure. It was very profound for me. I experienced the energy of giving being sourced from the core belief of “I am enough.” There was a beautiful visual and felt sense of my divine light and it was an experience of “I’m seeing myself!” I thought of how we all long to be seen and heard and how does it get any better than to see ourself, ourselves! As you spoke of gratitude being a state of beingness, I experienced how “complaint” can be a low subconcious hum of beingness. The contrast was poignant.

I am grateful and deeply moved by the gem you shared at the end… “our less than is our sacred pathway to our more than.” So beautifully expressed, which brought me back full circle to gratitude for my “more than” and my “less than.”

    Thank you for sharing you…
