Find Free Stock Photos Fast!

By Adela Rubio

July 15, 2019

Are you chasing down free stock photos when you're ready to publish and promote? One of my favorite things to do is find amazing images on free stock photo sites. Visual marketing is a key piece of getting your message out and it's a great way to make your posts more interesting and drive traffic to your website.

I've been doing this for a while and have built up collections on several free stock photo sites. It's a sure fire way to cut your search time, using other peoples collections. I'll share links to mine below.

I usually reserve these sites for my blog post photos and for creating quote graphics I share on social media. At times I do share just the photo with a social media post. I'll usually attribute the photographer. It's good karma!

Here are the top 3 sites I recommend for getting your Visual Marketing on!

Free Stock Photos: Unsplash

Unsplash is my current favorite. It gives you the ability to save stock photos to different categories called collections. I've curated 40 collections so far. You can see a screenshot of a few of them below.

The key to finding the perfect stock photo fast is to have a library of images to choose from. You can start off by checking out the collections of others. You can follow my collections too!

How awesome is this pic? (It's in my Portals and Pathways collection.)

Lots of free stock photos on Pexels, sometimes different than the ones on other sites. Here's a glimpse of some of my collections:

You can also follow people on Pexels by going to their collections page. Check out my collections on Pexels.

Here's the last of my roundup on sites with great free stock photography. Pixabay's format is a little different. You don't create collections, but save to your favorites. It's not as great an organization but you see a grid of images so it's pretty easy to scan and find the right image.

Here's one of my fave images. It has a magical feel which is great for writing and energy quotes. This one is saved to my favorites:

Free Stock Photos Tool: Unsplash Chrome Extension

There's one more quick tip on finding free stock photos fast: build your own collections on Unsplash using this Chrome Extension.

Every time you open a new tab, it will open a new beautiful high-resolution image. Ta Da! Easy peasy! Make sure you're using the Chrome Browser when you click the button below to add the extension.
