I know that every self-preserving cell in your body is screaming at the top of her lungs right now. At first glance, this might seem to be a bad idea. It's not.
Feeling, a translater of physical and metaphysical perception is essential in accessing your inner genius and guidance. Feeling is what helps you recognize your flow and how it co-mingles with the world around you. It's how you adjust your response and navigate with more grace and ease.
Sometimes, it can seem like a matter of personal survival to shut down feeling. I'm inclined to agree. Some cases do call for a stepping back and taking a more deliberate approach. The problem is that when you shut down feeling you also cut yourself off from your heart. That's like cutting off your air supply!
What if you expanded your definition of feeling beyond an emotional context? What if the whole story of pain is about havening you opening up to feeling more?
What if feeling also provided a pathway to deciphering many of the things that still mystify you?
If there is an unresolved issue in your world, a recurring theme, you can bet there is healing (or realigning) that is ready to occur.
It wouldn't show up if you weren't ready for it.
Energy Practice + Writing Practice
Here's a feeling practice to help you hone your intuitive skills. You can practice on your own or with your power pal or coaching buddy. The key is to acknowledge and listen to the resistance that is occurring within you. Engage that impulse that wants you to power down instead of powering up. Allow the voices to have their say. Have your own say too.
Notice how your body shifts with each voice, or message.
- What is happening in your body?
- Does it have a shape, sound, color, etc?
- Do any feelings, images, memories or sensations arise?
- What shifts as you notice?
- Check in again and notice anything else?
Now take a few minutes to journal with these questions or what you noticed.
You will probably notice from this exercise that just by feeling and focusing energy shifts and so do ideas and beliefs.
Let me know how it goes, darling!
