Power on a personal level, as Steven Lukes
said – power as a capacity to impact the
surrounding world.
Power which adds to the increase, which allows
each person to step into his or her greatness
without cost to others, but instead with abundance
and inspiration to others.
“Go deeper than love,
for the soul has greater depths,
love is like the grass,
but the heart is deep wild rock
molten, yet dense and permanent.
Go down to your deep old heart,
and lose sight of yourself.
And lose sight of me, the me
whom you turbulently loved.
Let us lose sight of ourselves,
and break the mirrors.
For the fierce curve of our lives
is moving again to the depths
out of sight, in the deep living heart.”~D.H. Lawrence
I sat at my desk to prepare for this final
lesson of Being Bootcamp and for
whatever divine reason, a conceptual
and oh-so-tangible image of a Power
Cord came into my mind's eye.
Lately my house has become something
of a power cord graveyard as we have
a puppy who likes to chew right
through random power cords – otherwise
known as – he chews through nearly
every power cord he encounters.
This image, naturally, lead me down
a path of discovery… I edged down
it, tip toe cautiously at first.
I picked up speed, looking, listening,
being aware of the images and then
I started skipping, child-like,
giggling, clapping my hands.
Thank you, Divinity – the Power
Cord, My Power Cord, never severed,
is the power cord of Love.
I remembered to words I have written
in the past:
I shared a quote with friends and all of a sudden, it
was popping up everywhere.
I shared the words and people inhaled it, sniffed it,
chewed its juices and the moisture dripped
onto their hungry tongues.
These words could never get dry.
Listen to them to see what I mean:
“Go deeper than love, for the soul has greater depths,
love is like the grass, but the heart is deep wild rock
molten, yet dense and permanent.
Go down to your deep old heart, and lose sight of yourself.
And lose sight of me, the me whom you turbulently loved.
Let us lose sight of ourselves, and break the mirrors.
For the fierce curve of our lives is moving again to the depths
out of sight, in the deep living heart.”~D.H. Lawrence
Hold your tongue out so the words can drip onto it.
Swallow them and feel them move down into your chest,
your belly – and fill your soul center
with their presence.
“Go deeper than love, for the soul has greater depths”
Language is so limited. Love, the word, doesn't say what
the wordless space of soul love knows
– through experience. Love – the word – is too shallow.
“love is like the grass, but the heart is deep wild rock
molten, yet dense and permanent.”
Wild rock simply is. It doesn't need to speak, it doesn't need
to even be seen to be known. It is scentless – unless we take
the time to be intimate with it. Then, and only then, can we be
flooded with the power in its mere presence.
Rock is wild.
Rock is wild?
Rock is wild.
Your heart wants your mind to allow it to be rock wild, flowing
like flowing lava, alive, holy, destructive, frightening,
dangerous, exhilarating.
“Go down to your deep old heart, and lose sight of yourself.”
Dive into that destructive, dangerous, more frightening than
you could ever be flowing lava to lose sight of yourself
and find yourself, finally find yourself.
“”Go deeper than love, for the soul has greater depths,
love is like the grass, but the heart is deep wild rock
molten, yet dense and permanent.
Go down to your deep old heart, and lose sight of yourself.
And lose sight of me, the me whom you turbulently loved.
Let us lose sight of ourselves, and break the mirrors.
For the fierce curve of our lives is moving again to the depths
out of sight, in the deep living heart.”
Ah, step into and inhale this one, deeply:
“Lose sight of ME, the me whom you turbulently loved”
Turbulent, rocky, perhaps one might even think
able to sever that power cord.
“Lose sight of ME, the me whom you turbulently loved”
There are no boundaries, after all – lose sight of
the boundaries – lose sight of the fearfulness of
turbulence and step into the joy of all that is – the
embrace of WHAT is. Turbulence, the up-and-downness,
the exhilaration, the extreme focus it creates.
It doesn't need to sever the power cord because
WE are the cause of the severing, not the turbulence,
not anyone else, not anything external.
WE – YOU – ME – we cause both the severing (through
our ill-unwise opinions and thoughts) and, here is
the empowering part – WE -YOU – ME restore
the Power Cord –
We restore the power cord.
I restore the power cord.
YOU restore the power cord.
“Let us lose sight of ourselves, and break the mirrors.
For the fierce curve of our lives is moving again to the depths
out of sight, in the deep living heart.”
We are the deep living heart.
I am the deep living heart.
YOU are the deep living heart.
Feel the beating of your heart, of our heart, of my
heart, of our heart of your heart.
Together, we are the power cord of love.
Speak that power into being with singular expressions
of love as we come together in power, with power,
through power in this final lesson in our
BeingBootcamp experience.
